In honor of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our podcast guest today is Maimah Karmo, founder of The Tigerlily Foundation. This trailblazing organization supports young women dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis. Maimah walks us through her own journey, from when she was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer at only 32 years of age, to how she made a promise to God that if she survived, she would create an organization focused on the issue of breast cancer that would address the limited resources available to women of all backgrounds, including those at heightened risk, those facing health disparities, and those with less access to care.
